The State Government of Kerala initiated the RFD implementation process by organizing a workshop at Thiruvanthapuram on June 15-16, 2011.
Shri Oommen Chandy, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala along with his cabinet colleagues attended the workshop. A large number of senior officers from all departments had also participated in the Workshop. The Sate Cabinet approved the adoption of RFD in 36 departments. All the departments had submitted their RFDs to the Department of Planning, the nodal department for coordinating RFD work in the state. Six representatives from the Government of Kerala came to Delhi on August 1, 2011 to discuss RFDs with the ATF members. Based on the discussions with the ATF members, RFDs were finalized.
A group of 16 members from PMD thereafter visited Thiruvanthapuram for a meeting with each department of Government of Kerala to discuss their respective RFDs. The final revised draft RFDs were submitted by January 10, 2012 and they were approved by the Cabinet. The State Government has since brought out a Compendium of RFDs for the year 2011-12.
The Government of Kerala has prepared the RFD for the year 2012-13 also. These RFDs have been reviewed by a group of ATF members at Thiruvanthapuram on January 7-8, 2013. Government of Kerala has since finalized these RFDs.
