The State Government of Karnakata initiated it’s RFD implementation process by organizing a workshop on September 16-17, 2011 in Bangaluru. The Chief Secretary along with number of senior officers had attended the Workshop.
The Government of Karnataka successfully implemented the RFD in the State for the Year 2011-12. Fiscal Policy Institute (FPI) has been the nodal department for coordinating RFD activities within the departments of the State. After the draft RFDs were received, a group of seven representatives from the Government of Karnataka came over to Delhi to discuss the draft RFDs. The RFDs were reviewed by the Adhoc Task Force Members and comments were sent to the Government of Karnataka. The RFDs were revised based on the comments of ATF members. Further, a group of ATF members discussed the draft RFDs with the departments concerned on November 18-19, 2011 in Bangaluru. Based on the inputs provided by the ATF final RFDs were prepared for approval of the Cabinet.
The Government of Karnataka, thereafter brought out the RFD Compendium for the Year 2011-12. The Government of Karnataka has also implemented RFD for the year 2012-13 successfully.
