Prof. Prajapati Trivedi delivers a paper in the
China-India Workshop on Development and Governance

Prof. Prajapati Trivedi, Senior Fellow (Governance) and Adjunct Professor of Public Policy presented a paper in the China-India Workshop on Development and Governance organized by the Fudan University School of International Relations and Public Affairs (SIRPA) on June 3, 2017, in Shanghai, China. His presentation was entitled, ‘The Rise and Fall of India’s Government Performance Management System.’ It was based on his paper with the same title in the forthcoming July 2017 edition of Governance, world’s leading journal in Public Administration, Next day, on June 4, 2017, he was invited to speak at a university-wide seminar at Fudan University and share details of the Indian and international experiences in Government Performance Management.

This workshop had some leading Indian scholars who were fluent in Chinese. They provided rare and deep insights into the India-China story. It was also interesting to find out that on May 16, 2015, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the Center for Gandhian and Indian Studies at Fudan University. This was not surprising because the School of International Relations and Public Affairs at Fudan University is China’s highest ranked public policy school.
